MoreTawhid (توحيد) or Monotheism is the most fundamental concept in Islam and holds Allah (God) as one (wāḥid) and unique (aḥad). Any good deed, be it salat, sawm, zakat, hajj, infaq, birrul walidain (dutiful to parents), etc. is not possible to be accepted by Allah if one rejects tawhid. Allah says in the Qur'an:
Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah . Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."(Az-Zumar: 53)
